Saucony Elite 50 Individual Girls | Week 5

*Editor's Note: The Saucony Elite 50 refers to the top-50 individuals in the country (25 boys and 25 girls).

The Manhattan Invite certainly lived up to the billing with top individuals and teams continuing to show their stuff.  Kennedy Weisner (Elk County Catholic) ran #8 all-time on the course at 14:09.7 to take the win and move to #13 in the US.  Autumn Eastman (Champlain Valley VT) finished a solid 2nd in 14:23.1 and makes her debut at #23 in the rankings.  US#16 Courtney Smith had an off day, but rallied for 3rd in 14:26, certainly a fine time.

#6 Lauren Gregory (Fort Collins) continues to show great poise for a frosh, winning the Front Range League Champs in 17:35.34.  Also continuing to impress is #2 Sarah Baxter (Simi Valley), who won the Clovis Invite in 17:00, the fastest time of the day by 17 seconds over some top talent.

Allie Ostrander (Kenai Central) travelled to OR for the George Fox XC Classic and won in a very fast time of 16:47.8 over Ella Donaghu (Grant), who finds herself back in the rankings after a 16:54.1 clocking for 2nd!

Hannah Long (Eureka) gets back into the rankings at #11 with an amazing 17:17.50 win at Suburban West Champs, 52 seconds faster than she ran last year!

Amelia Paladino (University) is now in the rankings at #22 after she won the OVAC conference meet with a time of 17:36.62, 50s better than last year, showing that her form is certainly better than last year.

Stay tuned for another exciting week of XC coming this week and of course each week as we bring you the Saucony Elite 50 Individual Girls every Monday morning!
