Sammy Watson was back at it again Tuesday as she raced against Olympians and world-class athletes in the 800m at the Galà dei Castelli in Bellinzona, Switzerland.
Watson dropped a new nation-leading time for 2017 and the U.S. No. 3 all-time mark of 2:00.65. The Texas A&M University signee's time was good for fourth place and a new PR. She hit 2:00 on the clock for the second straight time and the third overall occasion this season.
Taking the win was Switzerland's Büchel Selina, who was the only athlete in the field to run sub-two minutes. Rounding out the top three were Hynne Hedda of Norway (2:00.14) and Santiusti Caballero Yusneysi of Italy (2:00.17).
