Great Oak Head Coach Doug Soles On Building and Sustaining Success

While in California on a Workout Wednesday shoot on Monday, we caught up with Great Oak head coach Doug Soles. The coach, along with assistant coach Dan Noble, has been with the program since it opened in 2004 and has been its head coach over those 14 years.

Since the school's start, Soles has helped build Great Oak into a national powerhouse.

The boys have won an NXN championship, while the girls have seen three podium finishes. Within the state, both teams have won multiple California Interscholastic Federation championships.

This year, both the boys and girls teams are ranked nationally in the Flo50 subjective rankings, with the boys at No.2 and the girls at No. 5.

We had a chance to talk with Soles and asked him what it takes to build a strong team. Listen as Soles details what's made his Great Oak program so successful over the years.
