Cross country completes conference tune-up

Tamar Billiet
The St. Kate's cross country team was greeted by another warm and sunny fall day when they competed at the Tori Neubauer Invitational in West Salem, Wisc. The Wildcats took advantage, recording seven new personal bests. They will now turn their attention to the upcoming conference and regional championship meets.

Jessica Rogers was the team's number one runner for the third meet in a row. Rogers also dipped under 25:00 for the second time in her career.

Junior Tamar Billiet was second for the team with a new personal best of 25:15.

First year Sarah Howe then led a trio of teammates across the line to round out the Wildcats team scoring. All three runners turned in personal bests. Howe's time of 26:08 was nearly 30 seconds ahead of her time from two weeks ago. Just behind her was fellow first year Anna Peterson, who turned in a one minute improvement from her best time earlier this season. Kelsey Eder rounded out the Wildcats team scoring as she turned in a new personal best by 15 seconds.

The Wildcats return to action at the MIAC Championships, which St. Kate's hosts, on October 30th at the Como Golf Course in St. Paul.
