GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - An impressive collegiate athletic career races to a finish for senior cross country runner, Brad Endres.

Endres' success is especially notable since he began his freshman year as a walk-on for the Phoenix. After a successful first year, he remained on the team as a scholarship runner.

"I came here with the intention of transferring after my first year and then when I had the opportunity to be on the team and liked the university, I decided to stay. It was one of the best decision I have made," said Endres.

Endres holds an 8K personal record of 28:06 achieved at the Bradley Classic last year. He has also scored for his team at every meet over the past two years. Last season, he placed 49th at the Horizon League championships and achieved his best team finish, placing second for the Phoenix.

During his time here, Endres proved not only to be a great runner, but also a leader and a dedicated student. He stepped up to the leadership role early as a junior, being the oldest runner on a team without any seniors.

"It's cool that I got this opportunity because I was a walk-on my freshman year and two years later I was a leader on the team," said Endres.

Endres has maintained a 3.32 GPA and has been on the academic honor role numerous semesters. He is pursuing a history major along with a business administration minor and is currently looking into attending a law school program after graduation.

Endres will race in his final Horizon League Championship on Sat., Oct. 30, and then will finish up his successful four years at the NCAA regional meet on November 13.

"I am really excited for these races because they are my last chance to compete collegiately, and I am determined to do well," said Endres.
