Winona State/UW-La Crosse Results
La Crosse, Wis. - Four members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team won events Friday night in the Eagles' dual with Winona State University (Minn.) in the Mitchell Hall Field House. Winona State won the dual by the score of 66-56.
Claire Elliott won the 200-meter dash (25.99) for the Eagles while
Rebecca Scheuermann won the 400-meter dash (59.00). UW-L's
Kayla Ashland took the high jump (5-4 1/4) and
Erika Whitson the pole vault (11-2 1/4).
Other top-five finishes on the track included
Rebecca Schmidt second (7.79),
Caitlin Wippermann third (7.85) and
Hannah Mueller fifth (9.97) in the 60-meter dash while Wippermann finished second (26.14),
Jenna Halvorson fourth (26.40) and
Jaime Ludwigson fifth (26.75) in the 200-meter dash. UW-L's
Shannon Klein was second (1:01.12) in the 400-meter dash while
Annalise Falk-Pedersen finished fourth (1:01.50) and
Crystal Oravis fifth (1:01.76).
Kristin Lillie was second (2:21.78),
Megan Knutson third (2:23.90),
Macy Olson fourth (2:23.96) and
Megan Stats fifth (2:25.72) in the 800-meter run while Stats finished second (5:14.17),
Amanda Gresl third (5:15.31) and
Corissa Conard fourth (5:17.61) in the mile run.
Ludwigson placed third (9.25),
Marissa Mahr fourth (9.78) and
Jena Weigel fifth (9.82) in the 60-meter hurdles.
In the field events, Mueller was second in the long jump (17-6 1/4) and fourth in the triple jump (33-5 3/4) while
Bailey Alston finisehd third in the triple jump (34-2 1/4).
Amy Jo Garinger finished second (5-2 1/4), Oravis third (5-2 1/4) and
Megan Marfilius fourth (5-2 1/4) in the high jump.
UW-L's
Summer Tietz was second (10-6) in the pole vault while
Jessica Landergott finished third (10-6),
Maddison Norlin fourth (10-6) and
Christy Moses tied for fifth (9-11 3/4) in the pole vault.
Bailey Sauerwein finished fourth in the shot put (41-8 1/2) while
Nicole Flackey placed fourth in the weight throw (55-9 3/4).
UW-L returns to action Friday, February 24 at the WIAC Indoor Championships at UW-Stout.
