Madison, Wis. - University of Wisconsin-La Crosse freshman Claire Elliott of Apple Valley, Minn. (Eastview) has been selected the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Track Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Elliott won the 400-meter dash (56.79) and anchored UW-L's first-place 4x400-meter relay (3:52.34) at the Phil Esten Challenge April 20.  Her time of 56.79 in the 400-meter dash leads the WIAC and ranks ninth on the NCAA Division III Honor Roll. 

Elliott then placed second in the 200-meter dash (25.34) and anchored the Eagles' winning 4x400-meter relay (3:53.03) at the Winona State University (Minn.) Warrior Invitational April 21.

UW-L returns to action Thursday, April 26 at the Drake Relays.
