Madison, Wis. - University of Wisconsin-La Crosse senior Josh Kaul of Stillwater, Minn. (H.S.) has been selected the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Cross Country Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday. 

Kaul finished second overall and helped lead UW-L to the team title at the University of Minnesota Roy Griak Invitational September 29. 

He ran the 8,000-meter course in 25:38.3.  A total of 27 teams and 272 runners competed in the event. 

UW-L returns to action Saturday, October 13 hosting the Jim Drews Invitational.  The race begins at 10:30 a.m. in West Salem at Maple Grove Golf Course.
