MileSplit Wisconsin Editor Update

(Elizabeth Schreiber crosses the 4x200m relay finish line at the 2020 Illinois Club Relays)

Hi everyone, my name is Elizabeth Schreiber and I'll be starting as your new editor for MileSplit Wisconsin!

Regarding my background, I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin where I studied Life Sciences Communication and Business. I got my roots in running early, growing up tagging along to meets with my dad, who coached cross country and track. Everyone in my family runs or coaches, so by nature, I followed suit. I ran XC and track throughout high school at West Bend West, where I found my stride in mid-distance races, and continued competing with the Wisconsin-Madison Track Club in college.

Despite graduating in May, I couldn't quite let go of the sport just yet. Off the track, writing is a huge passion of mine, so when I found out I could bring the two activities together, I jumped at the opportunity. There really couldn't be a better way for me to stay involved, while getting others excited about the sport at the same time.

While we're just getting started in Wisconsin, I can't wait to see where things go -- it's a state full of competitive meets to be covered and rising talent to be watched! My goal is to provide timely, on the ground coverage throughout the state and showcase talent and competition through features, videos, photos and interviews.

To me, cross country and track and field really are sports that bring people together and help to form a community. I'm excited to help establish and build MileSplit Wisconsin as a platform for that community!

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions at: milesplitwi@gmail.com

Looking forward to getting things running!
