BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The
men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up their season competing in the
Great Lakes Regional hosted by Indiana University.
Pacing the way for the Phoenix in the women's race was
Jolene Sell (Menasha, Wis.) who ran 6:20/mile pace to finish in 23:34. Areanna
Lakowske (Sparta, Wis.) ran a 6:32/mile pace to finish in 24:21 followed by
Annie Bley (24:48), Emily Farrell (26:02), Leah Farley (26:17) and Stacey Sell
(26:52).
On the men's side Erik Blomsness (Winona, Minn.) led the
charge for Green Bay finishing in 35:37 followed closely by Brad Endres (Plymouth,
Wis.) in 35:40. Josh Clark (Gillett, Wis.) finished the 10k course in a time of
36:08 followed on his heels by Paul Malcore (36:09) and Steve Wagner (37:00) to
round out the top five.
As a team the women finished in 31st place out of32
teams while the men were29th in the 30-team competition.
The men will return all of their runners next season while
the women will lose seniors Josey Bellin (Fremont, Wis.), Emily Farrell
(Gillett, Wis.) and Jolene Sell (Menasha, Wis.).
