Boissonneault and Campbell Selected to Attend NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum

DETROIT – Emily Boissonneault and Aviram Campbell have been selected to attend the 2011 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum which will be held from Nov. 3-6 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hara located in Chicago, Ill.

The NCAA began divisional regionally based Leadership Conferences for Division I, II and III student-athletes, coaches and administrators in 2002. Every year student-athletes, coaches and administrators meet to discuss issues and information impacting the student-athlete experience.  Beginning in the fall of 2010, the Division I, II and III Leadership Programs now take place at one site on the same weekend and takes place on a regional rotation.

The NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum will engage a diverse and dynamic representation of student-athletes, coaches, faculty and administrators and provide pertinent and customized sessions that will enhance personal awareness and leadership skills needed to impact student-athlete development at the campus and conference level, and beyond the collegiate realm.

Boissonneault is a senior on the Detroit Titan women's lacrosse team.  She started in all 18 games for Detroit in 2011 and was recognized as a Second Team All-National Lacrosse Conference honoree.  Boissonneault is a team leader on the field as she recorded a team-high 68 points last season with 63 goals and five assists.
