Eastbay/Pointer Invite Results

Stevens Point, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track & field team competed at the Eastbay/Pointer Invitational Saturday at UW-Stevens Point.  The Eagles tied for sixth with 36 points while UW-Oshkosh won the meet with 116.5.  A total of 15 teams competed.  UW-L's Alex Koenen captured the 60-meter dash (6.90) while the distance medley relay placed second (10:01.09).  Koenen was also seventh in the 200-meter dash (22.86).

Other top-eight finishers for the Eagles included Jared Sitte placing sixth (7.07) in the 60-meter dash while Nick Tehan was sixth (50.46) in the 400-meter dash and Jamie Bottcher finishing seventh (1:58.11) in the 800-meter run.

UW-L's Joe DeRosier was fifth (8.47) and Luke Ackerson finished eighth (8.65) in the 60-meter hurdles.

UW-L returns to action Friday, February 24 at the WIAC Championships at UW-Stout at 11 a.m.
