Madison, Wis. - University of Wisconsin-La Crosse junior Aric Hoeschen of St. Michael, Minn. (St. Michael-Albertville) has been selected the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Men's Track Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.  It is the second time Hoeschen has earned the honor this season.

Hoeschen placed fourth in the 400-meter dash (47.41) at the Iowa State University Classic February 11.  His converted time of 48.01 leads NCAA Division III by nearly one second. 

Hoeschen also anchored UW-La Crosse's 4x400-meter relay (3:17.14) at the Iowa State Classic.  The converted time of 3:19.54 ranks sixth in the country.

UW-L returns to action Friday, February 17 at the UW-Madison Red & White Open.
