UW-La Crosse Eagle Open Results
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team hosted the UW-L Eagle Open Friday night at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. No team scores were recorded. The Eagles had three indviduals win events Friday, including
Jenna Halvorson in the 400-meter dash (58.13);
Marissa Mahr the 400-meter hurdles (1:04.76) and
Claire Elliott the 200-meter dash (24.61).
Other top finishes on the track Friday included
Crystal Oravis second in the 400-meter hurdles (1:06.26) and
Rebecca Scheuermann fourth in the 400-meter dash (58.81).
The Eagles' 4x400-meter relay of
Kristin Lillie,
Alyssa Luker,
Macy Olson and
Megan Knutson placed fourth (4:21.41).
In the field events,
Erika Marisch placed second (17-0 3/4) and
Jena Weigel third (16-11 1/4) in the long jump while
Kayla Ashland finished third (5-2 1/4),
Amy Jo Garinger fourth (5-0 1/4) and
Megan Marfilius fifth (5-0 1/4) in the high jump.
Bailey Sauerwein finished third in the shot put (43-4 1/2) while
Samantha Guenther was third in the javelin throw (95-8).
Hannah Mueller was fifth in the triple jump (35-9 1/2).
UW-L returns to action Thursday, May 17 hosting the UW-L NCAA Qualifier at 4 p.m.
