UW-La Crosse Eagle Open Results
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track & field team hosted the UW-L Eagle Open Friday night at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. No team scores were recorded. The Eagles had five indviduals win events Friday, including three on the track.
Garrett Kerska won the 1,500-meter run (3:57.67),
Travis Gallick the 400-meter hurdles (55.89) and
Troy Brooks the 100-meter dash (10.74). In the field events,
Alex Zart took the shot put (47-11 3/4) and
Tony Bilderback the triple jump (47-5).
UW-L also won the 4x100-meter relay (42.12) with
Jared Sitte,
Terrence Thigpen,
David Sikorski and Brooks.
Other top finishes on the track included
Alex Jelich second in the 400-meter hurdles (56.28),
Adam Nichols third (14.80) and
Joe DeRosier fourth (14.81) in the 110-meter hurdles and
Caleb Roberts fifth in the 100-meter dash (11.17).
In the field events,
Andy Grossman finished second (164-7), DeRosier third (145-7) and
Ross Von Glahn fourth (144-0) in the javelin throw.
Brett Davis was second in the long jump (22-4 1/4) and third in the triple jump (46-5 1/2) while
Christopher Haase finished third in the long jump (21-5 1/4) and
Daniel Petkau was fourth in the triple jump (44-10 3/4).
Grant Havard was second in the discus throw (177-4) while
Jeremiah Burish was second (16-1 1/4) and
Jeffrey Hill fifth (15-7 1/4) in the pole vault.
UW-L returns to action Thursday, May 17 hosting the UW-L NCAA Qualifier at 4 p.m.
