Claremont, Calif. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team completed second day action at the 2012 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Outdoor Championships Friday night at Burns Track Complex. Wartburg College (Iowa) leads the championships with 29.0 points while the UW-Oshkosh is in second with 22.0. The University of Mount Union (Ohio) is third with 12.0 points followed by Williams College (Mass.) in fourth with 11.0. George Fox University (Ore.) and Rose-Hulman (Ind.) are tied for fifth with 10.0. A total of 36 teams have scored points.

Caitlin Wippermann competed in the 100-meter dash preliminaries Friday, but failed to qualify for Saturday's final with a time of 12.14.
The Eagles'
Claire Elliott competed in the 400-meter dash preliminaries, but failed to qualify for the final after finishing with a time of 56.98. Elliott will compete in the 200-meter dash final Saturday.
Action concludes Saturday at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges.
