W&L\'s Erickson and Johnson Run to PR Finishes at NCAA D3 Nationals Washington & Lee University Press Release Nov 20, 2004

Both Washington & Lee University\'s Lindsay Erickson and Nathan Johnson ran season best times at the NCAA Division III National Championship meet. The race was held at the Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wisconsin. Both athletes were competing in their first ever college cross country seasons. Junior Nathan Johnson place 83rd out of 215 runners with a season best time of 25:48 for 8,000 meters. Freshmen Lindsay Erickson also ran a season best time of 23:04 for 6,000 meters to place 84th out of 215 runners. Erickson was also the 9th highest freshmen finisher at NCAA Nationals.

Hamill and Garrahan earn All-American honors again MileSplit Staff Nov 20, 2004

Carter Hamill (Collegiate HS - Richmond, VA) and Shauneen Garrahan (Thomas Jefferson HS - Alexandria, VA) once again earned All-American honors at the NCAA Division III National Cross Country Championships with fifth and 24th place showings respectively. The meet was hosted in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

The state of Virginia will be represented well at the NCAA National Championships this upcoming weekend at the Division I and Division III level by many past great high school harriers. While the William & Mary men are the only in-state college program to have qualified to compete in the national championships, many individuals have qualified from schools in-state and out-of-state on an individual or team basis.
