Future Stars of XC - 10 Best Returning Sophomore Boys in Nation

Clayton Adams (Kearney MO)

Last fall in his freshmen year of cross country, Kearney's Clayton Adams celebrated a major victory early at the Rim Rock Classic in his personal best time of 16:10. Adams went onto a 24th place finish at the Missouri State Championships. On the track, Adams dropped his times down to 4:23 in the 1600 and 9:30 fifth place race in the state meet 3200.  Adams ran under 9:40 in four 3200 meter races over the spring. Adams has already started off his sophomore year last week with a solid runner-up finish at his home invitational behind nationally ranked Stephen Mugeche.
