Logan Hicks Completes Record Setting State Championships

---

It was a historic day on the track for Arrowhead senior Logan Hicks in the last high school meet in Wisconsin before graduation. The standout hurdler, won both the Division 1 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles titles with record setting times...quite literally.

In the 300m hurdles, Hicks broke his previous state record of 37.29 from last year's Homestead Regional, and did so in impressive fashion. Hicks ran a time of 36.92, which was a 0.37 second personal best, his best time of the season by exactly a second, a 0.60 second win and the first performance in state history under 37 seconds.

Hicks now owns four of the top seven times all-time in Wisconsin in the 300m hurdles. He also ranks tied for 17th nationally this outdoor season among all boys 300m hurdles runners.

While he didn't move up the ranks in the 300m hurdles since he was already the state record holder, he did move up the ranks in the 110m hurdles with a historic performance.

Hicks ran a time of 13.97 in the 110m hurdles, becoming just the second boy in state history to run under 14 seconds. This equated to a 0.41 seconds victory, a 0.13 second PR and the #2 time in Wisconsin state history. He also ranks tied for 94th in the event nationally this season.

Now one must wonder...without the -0.6 wind that slowed him down, might he be a 2x state record holder?

In conclusion, Logan Hicks' outstanding performances at the Wisconsin high school track and field meet were nothing short of historic. Breaking his own state record in the 300m hurdles with a remarkable time of 36.92, Hicks solidified his position as Wisconsin's all-time great in the event. Additionally, his 110m hurdles time of 13.97, making him only the second athlete in state history to break the 14-second barrier, further cements his legacy. As Hicks prepares to graduate, his achievements on the track will be remembered as some of the most impressive in Wisconsin's track and field history.
