KEWASKUM JERRY GOSA INVITATIONAL TRACK & FIELD MEET
Friday, May 21st, 2021
Field events start at 4 p.m., running events at 4:30 p.m.
Scratches/substitutions only may be made at the coaches meeting (3:15 p.m.) on the day of the meet. Scratches and substitutions must still adhere to the 28 total individual entries, maximum 3 per event only rules.
Prelims and finals in: 100m dash, 100/110m hurdles. Subject to change if there are not enough entrants to run at least two heats. Prelims and Finals only count as one Individual entry towards the 28 total individual entries not as 2.
Kewaskum has an 8-lane track - spikes no longer than 1/4 inch please.
Individual scoring and relay scoring as per WIAA/National Federation rules.
Vault and high jump starting heights determined at coaches meeting.
Regional Entry Rules Apply: A total of 28 individual entries per gender can be entered, with a maximum of 3 individuals per event only. This means we can fill out 28 of a possible 42 individual competitor spots in the meet per gender per team. This means it could take you 10 athletes to make it to the 28 max entries or 28 if each kid only did one individual event. Relay entries are 1 per team, runners do not count towards the 28 max entries.
WIAAWI Participation Limits apply - Maximum of 4 events. No more than 3 running or 3 Field for an athlete. 4th event for maxed out athlete must be in opposite discipline and running in a relay counts as one running event for an athlete. (Alternates only burn a entry if they actually run)
Shot put & Discus - Three (3) throws in prelims - three (3) attempts in finals: Top 9 make it to Finals
Long Jump & Triple Jump - Open Pits (Prelims Boys and Girls combined from 4:00 - 5:30; finals open pit Boys and Girls Combined from 5:50 - 6:50) please have athletes check in prior to 4:00 start of open pit and again prior to 5:50 if in Finals) - Three (3) jumps in Prelims - three (3) jumps in finals: Top 9 make it to Finals. Prelim Jumps carry over for Final Scoring. Triple jumps in west pit, Long in east pit.
Jury of Appeals - Ripon Boys Coach and Winneconne Girls Coach.
Awards (medals) for the top three places in all varsity events.
Implement weigh-in and inspection will take place inside the west end of the gym at 3:00.
Coaches Meeting will take place inside the west end of the gym at 3:15.
Concessions will be available on-site.
Small quantiy of Invitational Shirts available for Sale; Proceeds will go to Jerry Gosa Scholarship Fund being set up for Track and Field Athletes.
Entry fee is $175 per school.
