Kenosha County Cross Country County Championships

SITE: Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course - University of Wisconsin-Parkside.                                     4400 Petrifying Springs Road, Kenosha, WI 53144  THE SITE OPENS AT 3:00PM FOR TEAMS & SPECTATORS

ADMISSION: The admission fee per spectator is $3.00 for 17 & Under, $6.00 for Adults (18+) and $3.00 for  Seniors (65+).No drones or dogs are allowed at the race site on meet day.

Teams:Kenosha County schools include: Bradford, Shoreland, St. Joseph, Tremper, Westosha, Wilmot, Kenosha Christian Life, and Indian Trail.

COURSE: The 5K course is the original UW-Parkside 5000 meter high school course.

RACE TIMES: Girls race @4:30 PM    Boys race @5:15 PM     (Varsity and JV together) 

AWARDS: Top 16 finishers for each race will receive medals.The first 8 runners will be recognized as 1st

Team All County and 9-16 will be recognized as 2nd Team All County.

Winning teams will receive the Traveling Team Trophies. 

SITE PROCEDURES: The Course opens to teams and spectators at 3:00pm. Teams (participants, alternates, coaches, trainers and managers) should enter the meet site together if possible. Athlete must bring their own water bottle. TENTS & GROUND TARPS are allowed. No tent sides are permissible.

There is a large "Athletes Only" area behind the finish line area. This area is restricted to competing athletes, coaches and officials. This is where athletes leave their gear bags and water bottles. No group coolers or group supplied beverages or food are allowed. Coolers of ice for athletic training purposes are allowed. All warmups and

cooldown running MUST be done on the Parkside course. Athletes should be in the designated team area when they are not warming up, racing or cooling down.

Athletes should be in the staging area in the "Athletes Only" area 10 minutes prior to the start of their race. At 6 minutes they will be sent to the starting line. Athletes may not bring any extra clothing or items to the starting line.

TIMING: Wisconsin Runner will be timing and scoring for the meet using the MyLaps disposable chip system in conjunction with Finish Lynx Ether Lynx Photo Finish and Identi Lynx Video Cameras.Results will be posted to:http://www.wisconsinrunner.com/results/2021/2021kenoshacountychampionships/ during the meet  

PARKING: All busses, team vehicles & spectators should come in on Highway E and then turn left onto HY JR  to access the UW-Parkside Physical Education or Communication Arts parking lots located off of Hwy JR east of the course. There Is no participant drop off on Highway JR. No parking allowed in any of the Petrifying Springs parking lots - this includes teams, coaches and spectators. Handicap Parking (with Permit) is allowed in the lot immediately north of the course on HY JR. UW-PARKSIDE: The UW-Parkside PE Building is off limits to our group.

 PETRIFYING SPRINGS PARK: UW-Parkside has added additional port-a-lets to the race site for 2021. Please utilize those located at the course rather than the ones at Pets. We also request that all warmups are conducted on the UWP course NO team camps are allowed in Petrifying Springs. Teams must set-up camp in the designated  area behind the finish line.

 T-SHIRTS/CONCESSIONS: Meet t-shirts will be sold for $5.00. The UWPXC/T&F team will operate a concession stand at the course for the entire meet.
