Stanley-Boyd Middle School Track Meet, Thursday May 11, 2023

Teams Competing: 

12 Teams: Abbotsford, Altoona, Cadott, Colby, Fall Creek, Gilman, Loyal, Neillsville, Regis, Owen-Withee, Stanley-Boyd, Thorp.

Cost:  $100 payable to Stanley-Boyd Area Schools.

Coaches: Start time for the meet is 4:15 for field events and 4:45 for running events.  We will have a coaches meeting at 4:00 in the North Team Room (under the concession stands).

 

Registration: Online Registration for the meet is throughMileSplit. The deadline for entries is 11:00 PM Tuesday, May 10th. 

Using the WIAA participation limits, an individual may participate in a maximum of 4 events, but no more than 3 running events or 3 field events. Please bring a copy of your pole vault verification form to the meet.

 

Scoring for this meet will be:   10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1  for individual events and relays

                                             

Entries:  Entries will be entered at MileSplit. (https://wi.milesplit.com/) Invites will be sent to your team.

-Deadline for entries is Tuesday 5/9/23 at 11pm

-Maximum 4 entries for all individual events

-1 entry per team for each relay

-All events are finals (no prelims)- 3 Throws/3 Jumps for each event

Order of Field Events:Shot Put: Girls First; Discus: Boys first; High Jump-Girls first. Long Jump: Boys/Girls on separate runways both starting at 4:15;  Pole Vault: girls and boys together. 3 throws or 3 jumps, no finals.

 

Track Facility: 8 lane rubber, with 9 on the straight away. 1/4 pyramid spikes are allowed in all running & jumps events. NO Needle Spikes. NO TAPE WILL BE USED ON THE TRACK or Jump areas-CHALK WILL BE PROVIDED FOR MARKING.

 

Team Camps:Grass areas around the facility or in the bleachers (NOT on the football field). 

Do not set up team camp on the blacktop area near the entrance to the track, near the sidewalks, or the garage doors near the north end of the track.

 

Clerk of Course/Bullpen: Located at the southeast end of the track. Please remind each competitor to check in by the second call.

 

Restricted Areas: Please tell your athletes to stay off the infield. The jumps area will be restricted to those athletes competing in the LJ, HJ & PV at the time their event is taking place. Coaches will be allowed into the coaching box areas. The backstretch of the track can be used for warm-ups when it wont interfere with running events taking place at that time.

 

Concessions: Concessions will be available.

 

Bathrooms: Located on the North Plaza end of the facility above the track.

 

Bus Parking:Buses park at the HS parking Lot. Teams may be dropped off at the Oriole Park parking lot, but may not stay in the lot by the track after unloading. 

Trainer: An athletic trainer will be available near the timing tent on the infield.
