Recapping the Kansas Relays

Distance

The highlight of the weekend for Girls Distance was most definitely Victoria Findley (Blue Springs South) and her sweep of the 1600 & 3200. On Friday she ran a state leading PR of 10:35.25, and then came back on Saturday with another PR and state leading time of 4:56.27. Not a bad weekend.

Other highlights belonged to Mikayla Reed (Washington) who broke the 5:00 barrier for the first time with a 4:59.31 and placed 3rd in the 1600, and Madelynn Hill (Liberty) and Emma Roth (Park Hill South) both ran season bests in the 800m placing 3rd and 4th respectively.

Ryan Riddle (Webb City) had the strongest outing on the Boys side as he swept the 1600 and 3200. Neither were PR's for him but 4:15.65 and 9:08.70 are both very impressive especially considering he went out and solo'd both of them. Max McDaniel (Festus) also had a good showing in the 3200m with a season best 9:25.08 placing 3rd.
