Recapping the Kansas Relays

Sprints

The two Missourian's who made finals in the Girls 400 really put on a show. Taiya Shelby (Park Hill) and Kaitlyn Lewis (Liberty) blew away the field at 56.87 and 57.46 placing 1st and 2nd respectively. Jaden Wiley (Kickapoo) also picked up the win in the 300H with a season best 44.57, and a 2nd place finish in the 100H with a season best of 14.73.

The two Boys 400 runners who qualified for finals had the same success the Girls did. Chris Dupree (Park Hill South) just narrowly defeated Vontrae Booker (Raytown South) with a 48.52 to Booker's 48.58 as they finished 1st and 2nd. Keyone Mozee (Lee's Summit North) and Josh Sutton (MICDS) also had strong showings in the 100 as they placed 2nd and 3rd. Both had faster prelim times (weather was way better for prelims) with a 10.88 for Mozee and a 10.93 for Sutton.
