Landon Gallun (60m)

Continuing his momentum from the indoor season, Gallun is already off to a hot start this outdoor season, ranking as the #1 runner in both the 100m and 200m. His time of 10.60 in the 100m is especially noteworthy as it ranks tied for 12th all-time in Wisconsin and is tied for the 3rd fastest 100m time in April all-time. So...he has plenty of time to improve this spring. In being the #1 100m runner in Wisconsin this season, Gallun has a 0.12 second lead at the moment. He also ranks tied for 43rd nationally this spring. Gallun also ranks tied for 51st all-time in the 200m in Wisconsin.

Matthew Rusch (Shot Put)

He still may be chasing the #1 shot put spot in Wisconsin, but Matthew Rusch made his mark at his first meet of the season, throwing new personal bests in the discus and shot put, with his shot put mark of 63' 10.5" ranking #8 in Wisconsin all-time. It also ranks as the #8 April mark of all-time (all performances) behind marks from Ben Smith, Andrew Stone, and Vince Helgerson. This was a slight PR for Rusch, beating his outdoor PR of 62' 8" from last year.

Sam Crenshaw (Pole Vault)

Also putting his name in the record books is Bangor senior Sam Crenshaw who hit the 16 foot mark for the first time in his career at the Bangor Open. His mark of 16' 0" now puts him in a tie for 5th all-time in Wisconsin. Crenshaw this season has competed in the pole vault at three meets so far, taking home three wins with marks of 15 feet, 16 feet and 14 feet. He came into this outdoor season with a PR of 15' 6" outdoors, and 15' 9" indoors from earlier this year. His mark of 16 feet puts him in a tie for 30th nationally this outdoor season. Putting up a mark over 16 feet this early in the season, who knows how high Crenshaw will rise before graduation.
