Wisconsin high school track and field athletes posted several personal records and school marks during competition from April 9-11.
Cooper Baregi (D. C. Everest, Weston) ran 8.63 in the boys' 60m hurdles at the Marshfield Tiger Indoor Relays on April 9, improving from his previous best of 9.87 set in March 2026. The junior finished third of nine competitors and ranks #35 in Wisconsin and #13 among juniors.
Elliana Shank (Brodhead/Juda, Brodhead) jumped 18-7.5 in the girls' long jump at the Clinton Relays on April 10, bettering her previous mark of 16-10.75. The junior won the event among 21 competitors, set a school record, and ranks #9 in Wisconsin and #2 among juniors. Shank also improved her 100m hurdles time from 16.58 to 16.34 at the same meet.
Ellie Davel (St. Mary Central, Neenah) clocked 15.40 in the girls' 100m hurdles at Mishicot BE 5 Team on April 9, improving from 15.67. The sophomore won the event among eight competitors, set a school record, and ranks #3 in Wisconsin and #3 among sophomores.
Madden Crubel (Fennimore, Fennimore) threw 194-6 in the boys' discus at the Lancaster Invitational on April 9, improving from his previous best of 171-0. The senior won the event among 56 competitors, set a school record, and ranks #2 in Wisconsin.
Garrett Lefevre (Kewaunee, Kewaunee) threw 149-1 in the boys' discus at the Denmark Cold Vike Invite on April 11, improving from 127-3 set in May 2025. He won the event among 27 competitors and ranks #20 in Wisconsin.
Alex VanHelvoirt (Wrightstown, Wrightstown) cleared 6-6 in the boys' high jump at the West De Pere Triangular on April 9, improving from his previous best of 6-0. The sophomore won the event among 19 competitors, set a school record, and ranks #1 in Wisconsin and #1 among sophomores. VanHelvoirt also improved his long jump from 19-7.5 to 20-9 at the same meet.
Liam Moore (Boyceville High School, Boyceville) threw 164-2 in the boys' discus at the Glenwood City Invite on April 9, improving from 146-7. The junior won the event among 30 competitors, set a school record, and ranks #6 in Wisconsin and #2 among juniors.
