Sprints & Hurdles
At the Arrowhead All Comers Open, Trey Resch (Arrowhead) reaffirmed his place among Wisconsin's premier sprinters by sweeping the short sprints in 10.62 and 21.79. Both marks led all Wisconsin performances this week, while the junior continues to sit atop the state rankings for his class in both events.
Another major sprint breakthrough came from Ezra Abram (Lakeside Lutheran), who cut nearly three seconds off his 200m best with a 22.49 performance at the Lodi Triple Dual. The junior moved from 25.37 down to one of the top times in the state this season, climbing to #6 among Wisconsin juniors.
Freshman Dylan Johnson (Sun Prairie) also delivered a standout improvement, lowering his 100m PR from 12.30 to 11.49 at the Cardinal JV Classic. The mark places him #7 among Wisconsin freshmen.
In the hurdles, Samuel Feliz (Oconto Falls) posted a significant leap in the 110m hurdles, improving from 18.74 to 16.24 at the North Eastern Conference Pentangular. The sophomore also added a triple jump PR of 34-1.25, showcasing growing versatility across multiple event groups.
On the girls side, Harper Sheehan (Hayward) produced one of the state's premier sprint performances of the week, winning the 200m in 24.33 at the Knights of Columbus Invitational. The junior now owns the #2 200m time among Wisconsin juniors this season while also contributing a solid 17-1.5 effort in the long jump.
Distance
Distance runners across the state continued to post major improvements, highlighted by a school-record performance from Levinsohn Kasey (Sheboygan North) at the Mishicot Invite. The senior dropped from 10:07.13 to 9:33.58 in the 3200m, moving into the top-ten statewide while breaking the Sheboygan North school record.
Freshman Ally Miller (Monroe) also delivered a massive breakthrough in the 3200m, slashing nearly two minutes from her previous best to run 12:15.97 at the Rock Valley Quad. The performance places her among the top freshmen in Wisconsin and continues Monroe's strong emergence in the distance events.
In the middle distances, Lyndia Kalumbula (Wauwatosa East) posted a strong improvement in the 800m at the Carleton Sitz Invitational, lowering her best from 2:34.04 to 2:28.56. The senior moved into the top 120 statewide while continuing a steady upward trend this spring.
Jumps
The horizontal jumps produced several of the state's top marks this week. At the Carleton Sitz Invitational, Nayawn Peterson (Whitefish Bay) captured the triple jump title with a 47-1 effort, the top mark in Wisconsin this week. He also added a runner-up finish in the long jump at 22-5.25, further demonstrating his consistency across both horizontal events.
Brady Bursa (Oconto Falls) led the state this week in the long jump with a winning leap of 22-10 at the Mishicot Invite, continuing a strong season in the event.
On the girls side, freshman standout Lexie Olmstead (Lancaster) continued her impressive season by clearing 5-6 in the high jump at the Prairie Relays. The mark keeps her positioned as Wisconsin's top freshman high jumper this spring. She also added a 16-7.25 long jump performance at the Knights of Columbus Invitational.
In the pole vault, Caroline Basehoar (Xavier) cleared 12-9 to win the Bay Conference Relays, one of the top vaults recorded in Wisconsin this season.
Throws
Wisconsin's throws group delivered another strong week, led by sophomore standout Hunter Dehart (Coleman) at the Pulaski Invite. Dehart swept both throws with marks of 61-10 in the shot put and 174-6 in the discus, posting the top shot put mark in Wisconsin this week. The sophomore now ranks #1 statewide among his class in both events.
At the Bay Conference Relays, Hudson Samolinski (Winneconne) produced one of the state's top discus performances of the spring with a 177-11 throw while also surpassing 57 feet in the shot put. The senior swept both throwing events and continues to rank among Wisconsin's elite multi-event throwers.
Another major breakthrough came from Wyatt Buenning (Waupaca), who improved nearly 25 feet in the discus with a 149-5 throw at the North Eastern Conference Pentangular. The sophomore moved to #4 among Wisconsin sophomores in the event.
On the girls side, Shelby Meyer (Clear Lake) captured the discus title at the Clear Lake Invite with a 137-11 throw, one of the top girls marks statewide this week.
Meanwhile, Eva Akpandja (Madison Edgewood) continued her strong junior campaign by winning the shot put at the Monona Grove Quad with a 40-8 effort, placing her among the top juniors in Wisconsin this season.
